We are looking for an experienced I.T. Technician to service the needs of our Engineering facility which supports around 80-100 employees. Working with the guidance and help of the local I.T. Department and I.T Department in the UK, you will be responsible for the day to day running, maintenance and support of all of the I.T systems. You will be expected to enforce and comply with existing Company I.T. policies and practices and you must have the ability to work independently or from written/verbal instructions. You must have at least 2 years proven experience as an I.T Support (i.e. Helpdesk, second level support), primarily in a Microsoft based environment, and knowledge of current Microsoft software technologies is essential. This must include, as a minimum, the following: • Microsoft Windows XP Professional • Microsoft Windows 7 • Microsoft Office XP, 2003 and 2007 • Other standard office software, like a 7-zip, FlashPlayer, Adobe Acrobat reader, etc. • Good knowledge and experience with standard desktop hardware (especially HP hardware) • Good experience, understanding and solving with day-to-day IT issues • Understanding remote control technologies Non technical skills: • Good communications skills • Patience and understanding for the EchoStar employees • Good command work skills • Persistence and ability to obtain knowledge You must have good English written and verbal communication skills as these will be required on a daily basis.
