Overview: Odyssey Logistics & Technology is seeking experienced Java backend developer to join the development team responsible for enhancing and maintaining its Net Native TMS and Next Gen applications. Job Responsibilities: 1. Code and unit test product enhancements and bug fixes according to functional specifications and design documents. Work with business analysts to resolve requirements or design issues as they come up during the development cycle. 2. Document all changes in defect tracking system and observe all standards for code check-in and version control. 3. Participate in development system integration testing. 4. Assist Quality Assurance analysts in testing of pre-production release. 5. Assist Odyssey Production Support as needed in a second or third tier support role to answer questions or assist in troubleshooting. Required Experience: 1. B.S. in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of another four-year degree and relevant experience. 2. At least five years of experience developing applications in an Java-centric development environment. Basic skill set must include Java SE 5+,Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, XML, XSL, Digester, Velocity, Spring, Web services (Axis, JAX-WS), and familiarity with relational database design and development concepts. Familiarity with Websphere SOA, SCA, BPM suite and SDO/Hibernate also a plus. 3. Experience with business logistics in general, and transportation management systems in particular, would provide candidates with an advantage. 4. Experience with any of the following can provide candidates with an additional competitive edge: Java EE, ILOG JRules, C#/.NET basics, EDI/IDOC. 5.
